AI Usage Disclosure

REEL RATE™ uses artificial intelligence to power several features. This disclosure explains how AI is used, what limitations exist, and what your responsibilities are.

AI-Powered Features

Proposal Generation — drafting client proposals from project details
Contract Generation — drafting contract language from templates and context
Negotiation Co-pilot — suggesting responses to client conversations
Market Intelligence — analyzing rate benchmarks and pricing trends
Coaching — providing business guidance and recommendations

Which AI Models We Use

We currently use Anthropic’s Claude models. Our AI provider may change over time for quality, cost, or reliability reasons — we reserve the right to switch providers without notice.

Your Data and AI

What’s sent to the AI provider

Only the specific content you ask us to process. For example, when you generate a proposal, we send the project details, your rate card, and your business info. We do not send unrelated business data.

What’s NOT done with your data

Your data is not used to train AI models — Anthropic’s API does not retain your data for training
Your data is not shared with other Reel Rate™ users
Your client names, project titles, and document text are never included in aggregate market intelligence — only de-identified pricing signals (project type, region, amounts) are, as described in the Privacy Policy

AI Limitations — Important

AI output is a starting point, not a finished product. AI can produce:

Inaccurate or outdated information
Legally problematic clauses in generated contracts
Unreasonable pricing suggestions
Hallucinated facts (made-up information presented confidently)
Content that doesn’t match your voice or business

You must review, edit, and verify all AI-generated content before using it. Treat AI output the way you’d treat a first draft from a new junior employee — useful, but always needs checking.

Your Responsibilities

When using AI features, you agree to:

Review all AI-generated content before sending to clients or using in contracts
Verify factual claims made by AI
Have a licensed attorney review AI-generated contract language for high-value agreements
Not rely on AI-generated financial or tax advice without professional verification
Not present AI output as solely human-authored content when that matters (e.g., in contexts where AI disclosure is required)

Liability for AI Output

REEL RATE™ does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, legality, or fitness for purpose of any AI output. You use AI-generated content at your own risk and take full responsibility for how you use it. See our Terms of Service for the full liability framework.

AI Credits

AI features consume credits based on your subscription tier:

Free tier — no AI access
Pro — 40 AI credits per month included
Add-on credit packs — purchased separately, never expire

Each AI feature use consumes one credit. If a request fails and we automatically retry with a backup AI model, you are still charged only one credit.

Opt-Out

AI features are optional. You can use Reel Rate™ entirely without AI — the pricing calculator, CRM, invoicing, contracts (from templates), time tracking, and tax tools all work without AI. Simply don’t use the AI-marked features.

Changes to This Disclosure

We’ll notify you of material changes via email and in-app notification. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
