Privacy Policy — Reel Rate

1. Who We Are

Reel Rate is operated by Rizzle Media Group. We built Reel Rate to help video and photo professionals run their creative businesses with confidence. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Reel Rate iOS app and related services.

2. What We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to power your Reel Rate experience: account credentials, client contacts, invoices, proposals, contracts, pricing data, time tracking, financial data, device tokens for push notifications, and intake form responses.

We never collect or store bank account numbers, routing numbers, Social Security numbers, or credit card information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and Apple.

3. Market Intelligence

Reel Rate provides Market Rate Benchmarks that help you understand what other creatives in your area are charging.

How We Build Benchmarks

We aggregate and anonymize pricing data from Reel Rate users to generate market intelligence. We look at patterns across proposals, invoices, and quotes to calculate average rates by project type, region, and experience level.

What Anonymized Means

Your individual data is never visible to other users or any third party. We strip all identifying information before any data enters the benchmark calculation. The output is statistical only.

No individual user rates, clients, or financials are ever exposed. You benefit from the collective intelligence of the entire Reel Rate community while your personal data stays completely private.

4. How We Protect Your Data

Encryption in transit: All data uses TLS 1.3 encryption.
Encryption at rest: All stored data uses AES-256 encryption.
Row-Level Security: Every database table uses Postgres RLS policies. Users can only access their own data.
No banking information: We do not collect bank account numbers, routing numbers, or financial credentials.
Payment security: Billing is processed by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1) and Apple. We never handle card information.

5. AI-Powered Features

Reel Rate uses AI (Anthropic Claude) for proposals, smart packaging, negotiation coaching, and contracts. Your data is sent to the AI only when you explicitly use an AI feature. We send only the minimum context needed. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase (database and auth), Stripe (billing), Apple StoreKit (subscriptions), Anthropic Claude (AI features), and Apple Push Notification Service. We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising networks.

7. Your Rights

Access: View all your data within the app at any time.
Export: Export invoices, proposals, and contracts as PDFs.
Deletion: Delete individual records or your entire account by emailing privacy@reelrate.io.
Opt out: Email us to exclude your data from aggregate benchmarks.
Notifications: Disable push notifications through iOS Settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain data while your account is active. On deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days and backups within 90 days. Previously anonymized benchmark data is not reversible.
